The Boston Preservation Alliance is an independent, nonprofit organization that exists to advocate for and empower Bostonians to play an active role in preserving the places and stories that are important to our history. We envision Boston as a place where the stories of its diverse residents and cultures are reflected in its evolving built environment.

By becoming a member of the Alliance, you champion Boston’s dense, historic, and walkable streets and the people and places that make the city a vibrant pace to live, work, and visit.

We are 100% funded by members and sponsors like you. Together, we make Boston better.

Our work as Boston’s primary historic preservation organization is made possible by a network of more than 30 organizational members, together with more than 142 corporate members who publicly and financially support our work.
