Preservation Achievement Awards
The Boston Preservation Alliance Preservation Achievement Awards are bestowed annually to honor outstanding achievements in historic preservation and compatible new construction in Boston.
Boston's unique historic character and the creative ways Bostonians embrace and adapt their historic resources have been essential to the city's vitality and success for generations. Mayor Menino recognized the intrinsic value of historic preservation decades ago, and the Alliance honors his dedication and the multitude of Boston's preservation successes as we celebrate the 25th Boston Preservation Alliance Preservation Achievement Awards. For this unique event, Emerson’s restored Paramount Theater will fittingly host the 2013 Preservation Achievement Awards Ceremony as we recognize this year's outstanding winners and award recipients from the past quarter century. Join us as we present the Codman Award for Lifetime Achievement to Mayor Menino, celebrate our winners both past and present, and promote the future of historic preservation within the richness of Boston's neighborhoods.

About the Awards
Bestowed annually since 1988, the Preservation Achievement Awards honor outstanding achievements in historic preservation and compatible new construction in Boston. Celebrated for their positive impact on the city’s built environment, winning projects are looked upon as models for future preservation work. Previous winners include The Lenox Hotel, Fenway Park, The Boston Athenaeum, Trinity Church, The Liberty Hotel, The Paramount Center, Atlantic Wharf, and The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
The Preservation Achievement Awards are presented to winners at a celebration held in October, an event which is attended by prominent architects, developers, and preservationists from all over the greater Boston area.
