Built in 1912, Fenway Park’s future is secure thanks to the stewardship, commitment, and innovation shown by the new ownership of the Red Sox. Since 2002 a series of improvements have been made, fulfilling the promise to preserve Fenway Park rather than build a new ballpark. The Boston Preservation Alliance commends the Red Sox for their outstanding stewardship, continued preservation, and love of historic Fenway Park.
