Use GE money to fix the bridge, says Leung at the Boston Globe

The state gets a $98M cut of GE’s sale of its property in Fort Point. Where should that money go? Shirley Leung at the Boston Globe says the obvious answer is rebuild the Northern Avenue Bridge. She notes that community advocates are pushing for a bridge designed only for pedestrians and cyclists, which fits with the City’s environmental goals. With funding that’s already been committed for the bridge, the additional $98M could get us the bridge we want and need.
